Skwellepil Creek Rec Site

At the end of the 2018 camping season, Recreation Sites and Trails BC closed the Skwellepil Creek rec site and began decommissioning it, removing the infrastructure, locking the gate, and posting the site as being permanently closed. Over the next year, one 4WDABC member made it his mission to fight to reopen the site, and in April of 2019, it officially reopened under our West Harrison maintenance contract. Since then the 4WDABC has continued to look after and upgrade the site, adding new fire rings and outhouses, clearing danger trees, reconstructing the boat launch, and holding regular maintenance weekends.
