PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Crowdsourcing Backcountry Access Data
RECON allows users to report gates, obstacles, and trail conditions while traveling in the backcountry. This data helps identify patterns, track changes, and support efforts to restore or maintain access where appropriate.
By collecting real-world information from people who regularly travel BC’s backroads, RECON helps the association better understand access challenges and advocate for responsible recreation.
