CVRCS BC Rivers Day Cleanup

September Cleanup – Sunday, September 22nd – BC Rivers Day

Join us for the Chilliwack / Vedder River Cleanup Society’s annual BC Rivers Day River Cleanup!

Registration is open from 8:30-9:30am and we will be supplying garbage bags, gloves, and pick-up sticks. We will ask that all garbage be dropped off at the park no later than 1:30pm.

If you pre-register via email you will receive an additional raffle ticket for prizes. Please email us your name, cell phone #, and emergency contact name and phone number at info@cleanrivers.ca to pre-register. Please ensure you send the information for everyone in your group.

P.S. we are looking for a hardy group of folks who want to tackle some challenging terrain and have 4 x 4 vehicles. If this is you please email us at info@cleanrivers.ca

August 24 UPDATE from CVRCS:

Sunday, September 22nd is our annual BC Rivers Day River Cleanup. at the Thompson Regional Park – 48600 Chilliwack Lake Rd, Chilliwack.

We are very excited to have morning refreshments offered by McDonalds on Luckakuck in Chilliwack and hotdogs & drinks provided by the Chilliwack Dogwood Monarch Lions Club—huge thanks to these generous organizations for supporting the River Cleanup in this way. Please remember your reusable mug as we will not be offering single-use cups.

You can pre-register to enter to win a prize by emailing us at info@cleanrivers.ca with the following information.

– Full Name

– Cell Phone #

– Emergency Contact – name and phone number

– You will still need to sign a waiver at the registration table at the Fish and Game Club

Registration will also be on-site between 8:30am and 9:30am. Everyone will receive a raffle ticket for more prizes. Those who pre-register via email double their chances to win.

We ask that all garbage be returned to Thompson Regional Park by 12:30 pm -1 pm (food will be ready for 1pm) and IF you come across drywall PLEASE do not remove it, if you can record the GPS location we will notify the authorities for its safe removal.

This event goes rain or shine. We will supply gloves, pick-up sticks, and bags.
