Prevost Rd. and travel approx. 1km up the gravel (click the link\, Google Maps can navigate you right to it).  \nThe focus of the second course of this series\, “Essentials of Off-Road Recovery\,” is to take you through the basics and help make you comfortable recovering your off-road vehicle from various common “stuck” situations. \nCourse topics include equipment selection and care\, assessing a “stuck” while looking at it in a 360-degree view\, and hands-on experience in various simple recovery scenarios. \nIn this day-long class\, you will safely learn with our trained instructors in a controlled\, real-world environment. On-trail skills you’ll learn include how to choose the proper recovery method and gear for a given situation and how to use traction boards\, recovery straps\, a Hi-Lift jack\, and a winch. Our classes are small\, allowing you to interact with the other students and share your experiences while learning from each other\, and you will be encouraged to practice each of your new skills in our Hands-On training style. \nBy the end of the course\, you will gain confidence in yourself and a better understanding of your vehicle and recovery options\, allowing you to head out on your adventures and be safer. \nBE SURE TO BRING: \n\nChair\nBug spray\nClothing for outdoor conditions (warm\, rain-proof coat and pants; hiking or mud boots as appropriate to the weather)\nWork gloves\nLunch / Snacks / Non-alcoholic Beverages\nPen & Paper\n\nNo additional equipment is required\, although we strongly recommend you have a full-size spare. Part of the day will be learning about the types of tools available to help you with your own purchasing decisions. You’re welcome to bring and ask questions about any other equipment you already own\, particularly recovery straps/ropes and winches. \n\nCost of this event is $150 for current 4WDABC individual members. Each person attending will require their own ticket. This will be a very busy and action-packed day\, so please\, no children or pets. \nClick here to sign up as a new member or click here renew your membership.
