Let’s make this one even better!\n*Usual rules apply* (rules are in place for a reason there will be children and dogs—this is a family friendly car meet!)No hooningNo burnoutsNo excessive revvingNo speeding through the parking lotHave some common sense and don’t be that guy nobody cares for—a showoff. This isn’t the time or place for hooning\, there’s the raceway in Mexico\, this is a private property\, so anyone hooning will be asked to leave.\n(Mexico in the works)\nThat being said\, let’s have a great night and pack the parking lot!

SUMMARY:Wheelers of Tomorrow - a Very Merry Unbirthday - Movie Night and Camp out
DESCRIPTION:The Wheelers of Tomorrow are happy to announce their next Camp out and Movie Night – The theme this time will be: \nA VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO US! \nIn true Mad Hatter and Alice format\, we will be celebrating the bestest Unbirthday Tea Party; dressing up is highly encouraged for our guests. \nThe event will be complete with magical hats\, streamers\, noisemakers\, a pinata (or four)\, and a large selection of games that can be played\, such as volleyball\, bocce\, soccer and other games for various ages. \nPLEASE ONLY RSVP IF YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU CAN ATTEND.  Food is purchased before the event to ensure we have enough\, and last-minute cancellations can end up with a lot of wasted candy and pre-cooked bacon I have to eat or give away. Reminders will be sent out as we get closer\, so don’t worry; you won’t forget to do your RSVP as we get closer. \nDinner will stay true to our tried and true format of Hot Dogs and Hamburgers for Dinner\, two movies under the stars and a delicious breakfast of bacon and pancakes. Of course\, many snacks\, such as the coveted Freezies\, Chicago Mix Popcorn\, and the occasional healthy treat\, such as a carrot\, will also join us. Breakfast will be our traditional pancake and bacon breakfast. \nOur special guests will each receive their own birthday Goodie Bags! \nWe ask that children wear life jackets if they go in the water past their knees. \nWe will meet at the Weaver Creek Staging area at 1 PM; those familiar with the Hale trip are welcome to proceed. \nFor those unfamiliar with Hale\, a 4×4 is required (stock is fine).  For those unfamiliar with offroad\, we will have people who can help spot you if needed.  This is a good adventure even for those who are not experienced yet. \nAs always\, we are seeking volunteers to: \n\nBe early at the staging area to greet people in the even I run late.\nBe a social media mogul\nSet up the eye-spy on the way there\nSet up Hale for Decorations\, Tarps\, Cooking machines\nTransport goods from my place in Delta to Hale (my trailer can not carry it all\, and helps make sure I make it on time)\nCook\nRun Cupcake decorating\nMan pinatas to keep children from whacking other people – there will be no blindfolds involved\, this due to liability concerns with kids hitting with sticks.\nClean up and put things back to the storage locker in Maple Ridge or my place in Delta\nLeaders and tail gunners to lead people down to Hale the easy way\, and back out if needed.

SUMMARY:Hale Creek (West Harrison) Maintenance/Newbie Run
DESCRIPTION:We welcome those who enjoy using their four-wheel-drive vehicle to explore and discover beautiful places. If you have no experience driving your 4×4 ‘ off-road’ in difficult or rough terrain and want to gain knowledge and experience in a friendly\, knowledgeable\, and safe environment\, this is the event for you. \nThese monthly runs cover beginner trails and light intermediate trails. Generally\, there will be two groups leading runs: one for new drivers and another for intermediate drivers. All the usual trails are stock 4×4 accessible\, although because 4x4s vary so much in clearance\, length\, and angles\, some may involve dents and scrapes for some vehicles. Run leaders will assess your rigs before starting out to ensure the trails you run are suitable for what you want to do and are comfortable with. \nMeetup at 9:30 in the parking lot of the Weaver Creek Spawning Channel (17780 Morris Valley Rd\, Agassiz\, BC V0M 1A1) for introductions\, air-down\, and safety talk before heading out for Hale Creek\, and other potential destinations such as Skwellepil Creek\, Francis Lake\, Sunrise Lake\, or North Chehalis. Depending on the turnout\, we’ll probably break into smaller groups with a choice of destinations. \n\nParticipants may leave the group any time they like\, but please be sure to inform one of the run leaders before you do. Expect the group to return to the hatchery by around 4:00 PM. \nOne of the goals of these runs is to help you determine what equipment\, tools\, and accessories you need; nobody should feel they aren’t “properly equipped” to attend. We recommend\, but do not require\, that you have the following: \n\nSuitable tires\, with good tread\nFull-size spare and jack for your vehicle\nTire gauge\, compressor\, and plug kit\nWork gloves\nCommon sense\nand most importantly\, bring a good attitude\n\nCommunications (optional\, but recommended): \n\nLMR 4WDABC channel 2 (Lower Mainland)\nHam 146.460MHz (ham qualification and callsign required)\nFRS/GMRS channel 4\, privacy code 0 (or off)\nCB channel 4\n(see 4wdabc.ca/communications)\n\nDuring these runs\, our members and volunteers will clean up these sites\, clear brush\, repair structures\, and remove garbage. You are welcome to participate.\nThis is a family-friendly\, drug- and alcohol-free event. \nNote: run may be rescheduled or cancelled depending on weather and road conditions; please check back here before heading out.

SUMMARY:Lost Creek/Kenyon Lake Newbie/Maintenance Run 2025
DESCRIPTION:Formerly the Kenyon Lake Maintenance Run—now the Lost Creek Newbie Run. This is still stock- and newbie-friendly\, but some clearance and 4WD with low range are required. \nWe welcome those who enjoy using their four-wheel-drive vehicle to explore and discover beautiful places. If you have no experience driving your 4×4 off-road in difficult or rough terrain and want to gain knowledge and experience in a friendly\, knowledgeable\, and safe environment\, this is the event for you. We always welcome experienced drivers who want a relaxed day and the opportunity to help novice wheelers. \nThere is a choice of five destinations during this run\, and we can do any three of them\, time permitting: the “warm-up challenge\,” Salsbury Lake\, Tank Trap\, The Grotto\, and Kenyon Lake. If we have a large number of rigs turn out\, then we may split into two groups and do things in a different order. Destination subject to change on-the-fly depending on conditions. \nFROM THE RUN LEADER:\nThis run is for novices and will feature some basic challenges. A proper four-wheel-drive vehicle with reasonable ground clearance and a willingness to learn new things is all that is required. \nOne of the goals of these runs is to help you determine what equipment\, tools\, and accessories you need; nobody should feel they aren’t “properly equipped” to attend. We recommend\, but do not require\, that you have the following: \n\nSuitable tires with good tread\nFull-size spare and jack for your vehicle\nTire gauge\, compressor\, and plug kit\nWork gloves\nCommon sense\nand most importantly\, bring a good attitude\n\nCommunications (optional\, but recommended – see 4wdabc.ca/communications): \n\nLMR 4WDABC channel 2 (Lower Mainland)\nHam 146.460 MHz (ham license required)\nFRS/GMRS channel 4\, privacy code 0 (or off)\nCB channel 4\n\nThis is a family-friendly\, drug- and alcohol-free event. Pets are welcome\, but please keep them leashed and under control. \nMeetup is at 9:30 am at the Davis Lake Staging Area at the 3km mark of Lost Creek FSR. Directions: turn north at the Centex station at Lougheed Hwy. and Sylvester Rd just east of Mission. The pavement ends in 15km and Lost Creek FSR starts; continue 3km to the staging area. Departure is 10:00 am sharp. You can expect the group to return to the staging area by about 5:00 pm\, although participants can always leave early if they need to; just make sure one of your run leaders knows you’re going.

SUMMARY:4WDABC at the Beaver Valley May Days Parade
DESCRIPTION:Every year the Beaver Valley May Days have a parade. Similar to the Christmas\, Silver City Days\, and Castlegar Sun Fest parades\, we show up\, badged up\, and show off our rigs to the locals. The exact timing of the parade hasn’t been confirmed yet\, but I need to get an estimate of people coming for it for the event organizers. \nRSVP BELOW \n\nInfo from the Organizers: \n\nGOOD MORNING PARADE PARTICIPANTS!\n\nYou are receiving this email as you have registered your business or organization to participate in the 2025 Beaver Valley May Days Parade! Thank you for joining us in making this event fun for Fruitvale!\n\nBefore I get too far into the details\, I would like to thank our amazing sponsors for their contribution this year!\n1) Century 21 Kootenay Homes (2018) Ltd. is our Parade Sponsor for the second year in a row! We are so grateful for their contribution and we would not be able to put this on without them!\n2) The Fruitvale Christian Fellowship is our After Parade Lunch Sponsor\, providing food and drink for all participants! (more details on that below).\n\nImportant Parade Info\nWHEN: SATURDAY\, MAY 24TH AT 11:00 AM SHARP\n\nPARADE DAY INSTRUCTIONS:\n– Please arrive and register at the tent between 10:00 and 10:45am. We will be set up on Main Street in front of Fruitvale Canco/Post Office!\nYou MUST check in – do not line up without seeing us at the tent first. Your spot will be assigned so it’s important you gather that information from the tent.\n– Judging will begin at 10:30am – we have ribbons for 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place and this is strictly for fun and bragging rights! So get creative and bring the fun!\n– Parade rolls at 11:00am sharp!\n– Candy/Swag – Please refrain from throwing candy at the crowd. Kids get excited and run to grab it\, putting themselves in harm’s way of the approaching vehicles and floats\, not to mention it can hurt to be pelted with candy! CANDY AND SWAG ARE ENCOURAGED!! But we ask that it be handed out to those enjoying the parade on the sidelines.\n \nROUTE: I have attached the Parade route below\, but to keep things simple we begin at Canco and end at the Curling Rink at Pine Ave and Green Rd!\n\nAFTER THE PARADE: All Parade participants and volunteers are invited to enjoy lunch at the curling rink\, all thanks to the Fruitvale Christian Fellowship! There are typically hot dogs\, yummy home baked treats\, and beverages! So we encourage everyone to stop in for a nice treat once the parade closes.\n\nOTHER INFO:\nWe have 25 floats and counting this year\, which puts us right on par with last year’s turnout!! We are so excited to put on a great show for our community\, but please be respectful when lining up in your spot as there are a lot of us again this year. 🙂\n\nPlease reach out to me directly if you have any questions or concerns. I can always be reached at this email address or the phone number below.\n\n\n\nHAPPY PARADING!!\n\n\n\nKaitlyn Grafton \nBeaver Valley May Days \nParade Director\nP: 250-921-7926
