If you have no experience driving your 4×4 ‘ off-road’ in difficult or rough terrain and want to gain knowledge and experience in a friendly\, knowledgeable\, and safe environment\, this is the event for you. \nThese monthly runs cover beginner trails and light intermediate trails. Generally\, there will be two groups leading runs: one for new drivers and another for intermediate drivers. All the usual trails are stock 4×4 accessible\, although because 4x4s vary so much in clearance\, length\, and angles\, some may involve dents and scrapes for some vehicles. Run leaders will assess your rigs before starting out to ensure the trails you run are suitable for what you want to do and are comfortable with. \nMeetup at 9:30 in the gravel lot at the four-way stop behind the Sasquatch Inn (46001 Lougheed Hwy.\, Harrison Mills\, BC V0M 1L0) for a 10:00 AM rollout. Air down at the Weaver Creek hatchery and head out for Hale Creek\, and other potential destinations such as Skwellepil Creek\, Francis Lake\, Sunrise Lake\, or North Chehalis. Depending on the turnout\, we’ll probably break into smaller groups with a choice of destinations. \n\nParticipants may leave the group any time they like\, but please be sure to inform one of the run leaders before you do. Expect the group to return to the Sasquatch by around 4:00 PM. \nOne of the goals of these runs is to help you determine what equipment\, tools\, and accessories you need; nobody should feel they aren’t “properly equipped” to attend. If you have no experience driving your 4×4 ‘ off-road’ in difficult or rough terrain and want to gain knowledge and experience in a friendly\, knowledgeable\, and safe environment\, this is the event for you. \nThese monthly runs cover beginner trails and light intermediate trails. Generally\, there will be two groups leading runs: one for new drivers and another for intermediate drivers. All the usual trails are stock 4×4 accessible\, although because 4x4s vary so much in clearance\, length\, and angles\, some may involve dents and scrapes for some vehicles. Run leaders will assess your rigs before starting out to ensure the trails you run are suitable for what you want to do and are comfortable with. \nMeetup at 9:30 in the gravel lot at the four-way stop behind the Sasquatch Inn (46001 Lougheed Hwy.\, Harrison Mills\, BC V0M 1L0) for a 10:00 AM rollout. Air down at the Weaver Creek hatchery and head out for Hale Creek\, and other potential destinations such as Skwellepil Creek\, Francis Lake\, Sunrise Lake\, or North Chehalis. Depending on the turnout\, we’ll probably break into smaller groups with a choice of destinations. \n\nParticipants may leave the group any time they like\, but please be sure to inform one of the run leaders before you do. If you have no experience driving your 4×4 ‘ off-road’ in difficult or rough terrain and want to gain knowledge and experience in a friendly\, knowledgeable\, and safe environment\, this is the event for you. \nThese monthly runs cover beginner trails and light intermediate trails. Generally\, there will be two groups leading runs: one for new drivers and another for intermediate drivers. All the usual trails are stock 4×4 accessible\, although because 4x4s vary so much in clearance\, length\, and angles\, some may involve dents and scrapes for some vehicles. Run leaders will assess your rigs before starting out to ensure the trails you run are suitable for what you want to do and are comfortable with. \nMeetup at 9:30 in the gravel lot at the four-way stop behind the Sasquatch Inn (46001 Lougheed Hwy.\, Harrison Mills\, BC V0M 1L0) for a 10:00 AM rollout. Air down at the Weaver Creek hatchery and head out for Hale Creek\, and other potential destinations such as Skwellepil Creek\, Francis Lake\, Sunrise Lake\, or North Chehalis. Depending on the turnout\, we’ll probably break into smaller groups with a choice of destinations. \n\nParticipants may leave the group any time they like\, but please be sure to inform one of the run leaders before you do. Expect the group to return to the Sasquatch by around 4:00 PM. \nOne of the goals of these runs is to help you determine what equipment\, tools\, and accessories you need; nobody should feel they aren’t “properly equipped” to attend. On-trail skills you’ll learn include how to choose the proper recovery method and gear for a given situation and how to use traction boards\, recovery straps\, a Hi-Lift jack\, and a winch.
