Hopefully. Everyone gets at least one photo! No matter what!\nRemember this is available to everyone! Bring your trucks! Your bikes! Your off-road rigs! Your cars! Your classics! Your work in progress and even any vehicle that you don’t think is worth being in a car meet! Bring it! Meet some new people and who knows maybe you’ll find someone to work on your vehicle with you! And just a new friend!\nThe car community is a family\, and we support everyone and everything!\nSo invite your friends! Share to your groups! Let’s make this one even better!\n*Usual rules apply* (rules are in place for a reason there will be children and dogs—this is a family friendly car meet!)No hooningNo burnoutsNo excessive revvingNo speeding through the parking lotHave some common sense and don’t be that guy nobody cares for—a showoff. Prevost Rd. and travel approx. 1km up the gravel (click the link\, Google Maps can navigate you right to it).  \nThe focus of the second course of this series\, “Essentials of Off-Road Recovery\,” is to take you through the basics and help make you comfortable recovering your off-road vehicle from various common “stuck” situations. \nCourse topics include equipment selection and care\, assessing a “stuck” while looking at it in a 360-degree view\, and hands-on experience in various simple recovery scenarios. \nIn this day-long class\, you will safely learn with our trained instructors in a controlled\, real-world environment. On-trail skills you’ll learn include how to choose the proper recovery method and gear for a given situation and how to use traction boards\, recovery straps\, a Hi-Lift jack\, and a winch. Our classes are small\, allowing you to interact with the other students and share your experiences while learning from each other\, and you will be encouraged to practice each of your new skills in our Hands-On training style. \nBy the end of the course\, you will gain confidence in yourself and a better understanding of your vehicle and recovery options\, allowing you to head out on your adventures and be safer. \nBE SURE TO BRING: \n\nChair\nBug spray\nClothing for outdoor conditions (warm\, rain-proof coat and pants; hiking or mud boots as appropriate to the weather)\nWork gloves\nLunch / Snacks / Non-alcoholic Beverages\nPen & Paper\n\nNo additional equipment is required\, although we strongly recommend you have a full-size spare. DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE NEAR STAVE LAKE\, BC.  \nMeetup is Saturday\, April 26\, 2025\, at 8:30 AM at the Hayward Lake Rec Area parking lot. \nThe focus of the first course of this series\, “Foundations of Four-Wheeling\,” is to take you through the basics and help make you comfortable in your off-road vehicle in various common situations and obstacles. \nCourse topics include simple trip planning/preparedness for an afternoon adventure\, understanding your vehicle while looking at it in a 360-degree view\, trail safety and etiquette\, the importance of airing down\, trail driving\, 4WD systems\, and what equipment to carry. \nIn this day-long class\, you will safely learn with our trained instructors in a controlled real-world environment. This is the most important part please bring very good gloves\n– Rakes and shovels preferably the wide plastic rakes but metal is good to.\n– Does anybody have a tarp we can use to cover the garbage on the way to the dump?\n– I can bring one of those magnetic sweeper things to pick up nails. \n– and I will pick up those thick sturdy garbage bags \n\n\nIf you’re gonna come out\, please message me! So that I know who is coming and nobody gets left behind.

DESCRIPTION:We welcome those who enjoy using their four-wheel-drive vehicle to explore and discover beautiful places. If you have no experience driving your 4×4 ‘ off-road’ in difficult or rough terrain and want to gain knowledge and experience in a friendly\, knowledgeable\, and safe environment\, this is the event for you. \nThese monthly runs cover beginner trails and light intermediate trails. Generally\, there will be two groups leading runs: one for new drivers and another for intermediate drivers. All the usual trails are stock 4×4 accessible\, although because 4x4s vary so much in clearance\, length\, and angles\, some may involve dents and scrapes for some vehicles. Run leaders will assess your rigs before starting out to ensure the trails you run are suitable for what you want to do and are comfortable with. \nMeetup at 9:30 in the gravel lot at the four-way stop behind the Sasquatch Inn (46001 Lougheed Hwy.\, Harrison Mills\, BC V0M 1L0) for a 10:00 AM rollout. Air down at the Weaver Creek hatchery and head out for Hale Creek\, and other potential destinations such as Skwellepil Creek\, Francis Lake\, Sunrise Lake\, or North Chehalis. Depending on the turnout\, we’ll probably break into smaller groups with a choice of destinations. \n\nParticipants may leave the group any time they like\, but please be sure to inform one of the run leaders before you do. Expect the group to return to the Sasquatch by around 4:00 PM. \nOne of the goals of these runs is to help you determine what equipment\, tools\, and accessories you need; nobody should feel they aren’t “properly equipped” to attend. We recommend\, but do not require\, that you have the following: \n\nSuitable tires\, with good tread\nFull-size spare and jack for your vehicle\nTire gauge\, compressor\, and plug kit\nWork gloves\nCommon sense\nand most importantly\, bring a good attitude\n\nCommunications (optional\, but recommended): \n\nLMR 4WDABC channel 2 (Lower Mainland)\nHam 146.460MHz (ham qualification and callsign required)\nFRS/GMRS channel 4\, privacy code 0 (or off)\nCB channel 4\n(see 4wdabc.ca/communications)\n\nDuring these runs\, our members and volunteers will clean up these sites\, clear brush\, repair structures\, and remove garbage. DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE NEAR STAVE LAKE\, BC.  \nMeetup is Sunday\, March 23\, 2025\, at 8:30 AM at the Hayward Lake Rec Area parking lot.  \nThe focus of the second course of this series\, “Essentials of Off-Road Recovery\,” is to take you through the basics and help make you comfortable recovering your off-road vehicle from various common “stuck” situations. \nCourse topics include equipment selection and care\, assessing a “stuck” while looking at it in a 360-degree view\, and hands-on experience in various simple recovery scenarios. \nIn this day-long class\, you will safely learn with our trained instructors in a controlled\, real-world environment. On-trail skills you’ll learn include how to choose the proper recovery method and gear for a given situation and how to use traction boards\, recovery straps\, a Hi-Lift jack\, and a winch. Our classes are small\, allowing you to interact with the other students and share your experiences while learning from each other\, and you will be encouraged to practice each of your new skills in our hands-on training style. \nBy the end of the course\, you will gain confidence in yourself and a better understanding of your vehicle and recovery options\, allowing you to head out on your adventures and be safer. \nBE SURE TO BRING: \n\nChair\nBug spray\nClothing for outdoor conditions (warm\, rain-proof coat and pants; hiking or mud boots as appropriate to the weather)\nWork gloves\nLunch / Snacks / Non-alcoholic Beverages\nPen & Paper\n\nNo additional equipment is required\, although we strongly recommend you have a full-size spare. DESCRIPTION:DC Offroad presents\n\n\nOFFROAD ENGAGED\n\n\nA training and touring day\n\n\nAre you just getting to know your 4×4?\n\nDo you want to come out and just hone your skills with advice from local Wheeling Wisely trainers?\n\n\nJoin us at the Stave Lake Motorsport Park for an easy day to help you feel more comfortable off-road.\n\n\nOn-site training will take place for the first half of the day in the training area\, then participants will be taken for guided local wheeling for the second half of the day.\n\nA new post will be created each month on the DC Offroad Facebook page\, where interested participants can sign up and send an e-transfer to reserve their space.\n\n\nMore details TBA.\n\nThe park is operated entirely by volunteers and has a few rules that will be strictly enforced; please respect those who are giving of their time to make this possible: \n\nOnly registered participants in the park during these times.\nGates will be locked once the registered participants leave for the trail run portion.\nNo pets in the park unless they’re inside your vehicle.\nNo kids in the park unless they’re inside your vehicle.\nNo camping\, campfires\, or open alcohol in the park.\nVehicles must be fully insured for street use.\nThe road through the park leads to the Sayres Lake group campground and must always remain unobstructed.\nIf you’re stopping to take a break inside the park\, please park along the log section\, allowing room for vehicles to pass\nIf you’re just stopping to watch\, please park outside the gate along the FSR\, being sure not to block the road.\nThere will be continuing construction within the park; please be mindful of moving equipment and changing conditions.

SUMMARY:Hale Creek (West Harrison) Maintenance/Newbie Run
DESCRIPTION:We welcome those who enjoy using their four-wheel-drive vehicle to explore and discover beautiful places. If you have no experience driving your 4×4 ‘ off-road’ in difficult or rough terrain and want to gain knowledge and experience in a friendly\, knowledgeable\, and safe environment\, this is the event for you. \nThese monthly runs cover beginner trails and light intermediate trails. Generally\, there will be two groups leading runs: one for new drivers and another for intermediate drivers. All the usual trails are stock 4×4 accessible\, although because 4x4s vary so much in clearance\, length\, and angles\, some may involve dents and scrapes for some vehicles. Run leaders will assess your rigs before starting out to ensure the trails you run are suitable for what you want to do and are comfortable with. \nMeetup at 9:30 in the gravel lot at the four-way stop behind the Sasquatch Inn (46001 Lougheed Hwy.\, Harrison Mills\, BC V0M 1L0) for a 10:00 AM rollout. Air down at the Weaver Creek hatchery and head out for Hale Creek\, and other potential destinations such as Skwellepil Creek\, Francis Lake\, Sunrise Lake\, or North Chehalis. Depending on the turnout\, we’ll probably break into smaller groups with a choice of destinations. \n\nParticipants may leave the group any time they like\, but please be sure to inform one of the run leaders before you do. Expect the group to return to the Sasquatch by around 4:00 PM. \nOne of the goals of these runs is to help you determine what equipment\, tools\, and accessories you need; nobody should feel they aren’t “properly equipped” to attend. DESCRIPTION:DCOFFROAD Proudly Presents\n“SEND IT” A Stave West Training and Tour day\nTHe first Saturday of every month\, starting SATURDAY April 5\, 2025\, get to know and operate your SXS / UTVs and ATVs and check out some of the Stave West area trails\nCome out add to your skills and learn from experienced operators in the Motorsport park and training area and do some local stave west riding\nEach day is tailored\, depending on persons experience levels signed up some days will have more touring\, less training\nFirst 1/2 of the day is in the training area starting with the discussion portion including: \n\nMachine orientation\nRiding Gear and equipment\nPre ride preparation\nTire pressures\nMachine operation\nBasic recovery techniques\nBasic Winch recovery\n\nThen we saddle up for coached physical machine operation in the entire training area including: \n\nPylon practice\nFigure 8 practice\nRecovery practice\nWinch recovery\nLog bridge crossing\nLog crossing\nRock riding\nRiding on angles\nHillside climbing ( various degrees)\nObstacle riding\nDitch crossings\n\nWe take a break (bring your own lunch) and then some local riding for the last 1/2 of the day outside of the training area with everyone \nThis day is open to all experience levels\, each day is custom tailored to individuals attending and their machines \nBring what you have for recovery gear or just your selves and legal riding gear with your machine \nYes a helmet is mandatory for this day eye protection is highly recommended if your machine does not have a windshield as there will be riding on the forestry service roads \nYes you can have a passenger with you in sxs /utv \n12 paid spots maximum\nCost for the day is 150$ per SxS/UTV/ATV and operator (SXS/UTV passenger is no charge). As a non profit organization\, all funds go towards Training\, Operating\, Maintaining\, Building and Improving the Facilities \nEasily register and sign up for the training day\nE-transfer of $150 to Dcoffroad@shaw.ca reserves your spot\nAll spots must be prepaid ahead of training date. \nPlease include your full name\, SxS/UTV/ATV type name and phone number in your e-transfer memo area\n10am meet and greet at the training area fill out Waivers (waiver can be emailed to you ahead of time.
