SUMMARY:Lost Creek/Kenyon Lake Newbie/Maintenance Run 2025
DESCRIPTION:Formerly the Kenyon Lake Maintenance Run—now the Lost Creek Newbie Run. This is still stock- and newbie-friendly\, but some clearance and 4WD with low range are required. \nWe welcome those who enjoy using their four-wheel-drive vehicle to explore and discover beautiful places. If you have no experience driving your 4×4 off-road in difficult or rough terrain and want to gain knowledge and experience in a friendly\, knowledgeable\, and safe environment\, this is the event for you. We always welcome experienced drivers who want a relaxed day and the opportunity to help novice wheelers. \nThere is a choice of five destinations during this run\, and we can do any three of them\, time permitting: the “warm-up challenge\,” Salsbury Lake\, Tank Trap\, The Grotto\, and Kenyon Lake. If we have a large number of rigs turn out\, then we may split into two groups and do things in a different order. Destination subject to change on-the-fly depending on conditions. \nFROM THE RUN LEADER:\nThis run is for novices and will feature some basic challenges. A proper four-wheel-drive vehicle with reasonable ground clearance and a willingness to learn new things is all that is required. \nOne of the goals of these runs is to help you determine what equipment\, tools\, and accessories you need; nobody should feel they aren’t “properly equipped” to attend. We recommend\, but do not require\, that you have the following: \n\nSuitable tires with good tread\nFull-size spare and jack for your vehicle\nTire gauge\, compressor\, and plug kit\nWork gloves\nCommon sense\nand most importantly\, bring a good attitude\n\nCommunications (optional\, but recommended – see 4wdabc.ca/communications): \n\nLMR 4WDABC channel 2 (Lower Mainland)\nHam 146.460 MHz (ham license required)\nFRS/GMRS channel 4\, privacy code 0 (or off)\nCB channel 4\n\nThis is a family-friendly\, drug- and alcohol-free event. Directions: turn north at the Centex station at Lougheed Hwy. and Sylvester Rd just east of Mission. The pavement ends in 15km and Lost Creek FSR starts; continue 3km to the staging area. Departure is 10:00 am sharp. SUMMARY:Hale Creek (West Harrison) Maintenance/Newbie Run

Generally\, there will be two groups leading runs: one for new drivers and another for intermediate drivers. All the usual trails are stock 4×4 accessible\, although because 4x4s vary so much in clearance\, length\, and angles\, some may involve dents and scrapes for some vehicles. Run leaders will assess your rigs before starting out to ensure the trails you run are suitable for what you want to do and are comfortable with. \nMeetup at 9:30 in the parking lot of the Weaver Creek Spawning Channel (17780 Morris Valley Rd\, Agassiz\, BC V0M 1A1) for introductions\, air-down\, and safety talk before heading out for Hale Creek\, and other potential destinations such as Skwellepil Creek\, Francis Lake\, Sunrise Lake\, or North Chehalis. Depending on the turnout\, we’ll probably break into smaller groups with a choice of destinations. \n\nParticipants may leave the group any time they like\, but please be sure to inform one of the run leaders before you do. SUMMARY:White Boar Lake Maintenance Run
DESCRIPTION:8:30am we’ll convoy from Marysville Petro Canada. Once we hit St. Mary’s Lake Rd. we’ll air down at the Hellroaring FSR junction. From there it’s a scenic drive for all 4×4 abilities to the lake head. \nWe have signage to install and an Association fire pit\, there’s brushing and tree removal\, picnic table repairs and general maintenance to be done. \nPlease bring sunscreen and tools/shovels for the type of work you want to perform. There is some GlueTread swag to be drawn for our workers too. \nDon’t forget your swimsuit and paddle boards for post-work relaxation!

If we have a large number of rigs turn out\, then we may possibly split into two groups and do things in a different order. \nFROM THE RUN LEADER:\nThis run is for novices and will feature some basic challenges. SUMMARY:Hale Creek (West Harrison) Maintenance/Newbie Run
DESCRIPTION:We welcome those who enjoy using their four-wheel-drive vehicle to explore and discover beautiful places. If you have no experience driving your 4×4 ‘ off-road’ in difficult or rough terrain and want to gain knowledge and experience in a friendly\, knowledgeable\, and safe environment\, this is the event for you. \nThese monthly runs cover beginner trails and light intermediate trails. Generally\, there will be two groups leading runs: one for new drivers and another for intermediate drivers. All the usual trails are stock 4×4 accessible\, although because 4x4s vary so much in clearance\, length\, and angles\, some may involve dents and scrapes for some vehicles. Run leaders will assess your rigs before starting out to ensure the trails you run are suitable for what you want to do and are comfortable with. \nMeetup at 9:30 in the gravel lot at the four-way stop behind the Sasquatch Inn (46001 Lougheed Hwy.\, Harrison Mills\, BC V0M 1L0) for a 10:00 AM rollout. Air down at the Weaver Creek hatchery and head out for Hale Creek\, and other potential destinations such as Skwellepil Creek\, Francis Lake\, Sunrise Lake\, or North Chehalis. Depending on the turnout\, we’ll probably break into smaller groups with a choice of destinations. \n\nParticipants may leave the group any time they like\, but please be sure to inform one of the run leaders before you do. Expect the group to return to the Sasquatch by around 4:00 PM. \nOne of the goals of these runs is to help you determine what equipment\, tools\, and accessories you need; nobody should feel they aren’t “properly equipped” to attend. We always welcome experienced drivers who want a relaxed day and the opportunity to help novice wheelers. \nThere is a choice of five destinations during this run\, and we can do any three of them\, time permitting. The “warm-up challenge\,” Salsbury Lake\, Tank Trap\, The Grotto\, and Kenyon Lake. If we have a large number of rigs turn out\, then we may possibly split into two groups and do things in a different order. \nFROM THE RUN LEADER:\nThis run is for novices and will feature some basic challenges. A proper four-wheel-drive vehicle with reasonable ground clearance and a willingness to learn new things is all that is required. \nWe recommend that you have the following:\n– Suitable tires\, with good tread\n– Spare and jack for your vehicle\n– Tire gauge\, compressor\, and plug kit\n– Common sense\n– and most importantly\, bring a good attitude \nThis is a family-friendly\, drug- and alcohol-free event. \nMeetup is at 9:30 am at the Husky at Lougheed Hwy. and Sylvester Rd. just east of Mission with a departure time of 10:00 am sharp to head to the air-down area. You can expect the group to return to the Husky by about 5:00 pm\, although participants can always leave early if they need to\, just make sure one of your run leaders knows you’re going.
